National Girls and Women in Sports Day - DC

Join the Washington Freedom and the Washington Mystics on Thursday, February 5, in celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day before the University of Maryland women's basketball team takes on NC State. Mix and mingle with local and national women's sports luminaries including Cat Whitehill of the Washington Freedom; Debbie Yow, Maryland Athletic Director; Vicky Bullet, former Maryland player and Mystics assistant coach; Angela Taylor, Mystics GM; and Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, Olympic gold medalist.

When: Thursday, February 5, at 6 p.m.
Where: Comcast Center - University of Maryland, College Park (event will take place in Heritage Hall, located on the main concourse lobby level.).
What: Celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, includes a charity auction with the proceeds to be donated to the Women's Sports Foundation.
Cost: $20/ticket, includes a ticket to the UMD vs. NC State women's basketball game at 7 p.m. and a voucher for a 2009 Mystics game.
