Can anyone tell me how the SoccerPlex is going to deal with reporters and put them up for the game? There are no press boxes or anything at the stadium (though I admit it is a nice one).

They're renovating the stadium next month, and adding a pressbox is among the upgrades.

I kind of like Kele Golebiowski, you think The Washington Freedom will take her?

I'd like to see them hang on to Kele, but I can understand their picking Sarah Huffmann and Becky Sauerbrunn ahead of her because they're both very good and very young. We'll see what happens in January!

The Soccerplex is in Maryland, right? That's ridiculous...it's too far away for me. I'll definitely be at those doubleheaders....2 of the best women/men's pro teams in one night? :)

This is why DC needs a soccer specific stadium. Other WPS teams are playing in their MLS (soccer specific) stadium. I do agree the soccerplex is a little off the beaten path for people coming from DC or Virginia. I live 5 minutes from DC and it will still take a hour to get to the games. Yet it is even worse for someone coming from farther away.

Can you like, not always write in bold and in caps, that would be greatttt. As much as your posts bother me, I sort of like your idea and feel compelled to go dig up my Mullinix t-shirt/jersey and maybe wear it. If Bri is playing, then I'll defiantly wear it and I may wander over to the beer pit and remind her who the better Freedom goalie was/is. I wish Siri still played!

Siri has to be younger than Bri and not any older than Luckenbill. On the other hand, I'm almost as glad she isn't still playing because I can remember her the way she was - as in saving those two PK attempts in the 2003 semifinal against Boston - rather than however she is now. I really don't like it that Scurry is tarnishing how I remember her with how she's playing now.

Hat-off, to our ladies, Washington Freedom (Go Bluez)!!!, we will be better next season.
What a heart break last night.
Yes, I can relate to Lisa De Vanna & Cat Whitehill's feeling, at that moment, by the look of their expression, after the final whistle, it's a heart breaking, boths play very hard try to take our Freedom to super semi-final. (they touch my heart).
How I wish, last night IF my favourite, Le bluez Sonia Bompastor were there, to help us.
Anyway, I'm proud of my Freedom Ladies yesterday, they really play hard, even our captain Wombat, is very determine to take us to the semi.
All of our Freedom players, plays the best football/soccer toward the play-off series.
We will be better team next season.
Thank you, Freedom Ladies & the coaching staffs, great season we had.
To all the Freedom fans, thank you, I'm hoping for you guys, to be more vocal & with a loud of noises,
next season, and be the best fans in WPS.

Here are my best Freedom Players for these season (2009)
1. Sonia Bompastor
2. Abby Wombat
3. Lisa De Vanna
4. Cat Whitehill
5. Erin McLeod
6. Becky Sauerbrunn
7. Lori Lindsey
8. Homare Sawa.

LET'S GO FREEDOM!!! ( LET'S GO BLUEZ)

If you'd told me at the beginning of the season that we'd host a playoff game at the end, I'd have been delighted. I was rather disappointed in our performance in that playoff game, but to get that far when we had Abby recovering from a broken leg, Cat recovering from an ACL injury, Ali not available for the first half of the season and recovering from a foot injury when she was, Sarah Huffman lost for the regular season, and Erin McLeod unavailable for a fourth of it is pretty impressive.

I look forward to seeing what we can do next year with Abby fully recovering, Sarah back on the pitch, and whatever new players we happen to acquire.
