Teams begin coming to terms with free agents, internationals

Free agent signings began on Thursday, Oct. 8 as the Boston Breakers agreed to terms with forward Tiffany Weimer and defender/midfielder Erika Sutton and FC Gold Pride (Bay Area) did likewise with defender Candace Chapman. The Philadelphia Independence also agreed to terms with their top pick in the international draft, Swedish midfielder Caroline Seger. All of the agreements are pending league certification.
