Rock75, Mittsfan, Kate and Holly,

You know, I think I needed to read your posts a little more closely. I, too, am a big supporter of the players, My defensive posture was really a defense of the players. While the team's losses certainly have been disappointing, it seems the players have really stuck together as a team and that they genuinely like each other--not a sentiment that is very common on a professional team when a team has not been winning. That there has not been finger pointing by the players (at each other) makes me respect the players that much more, In short, sorry for my tirade--it appears you all support the team and are critical of the coaching, not the players, and that you want this team and the WPS to succeed. Armchair quarterback on.

WOW ~ What an awesome match Saturday!! Very Fun!!! Loved the fact that two goals came from ladies that have been riding pine all season. Does anyone know how next season will go? Will the team remain intact?? Do the expansion teams get to select a couple players from each team???

Could the game on Saturday (8/1) have gotten any better? What a comeback win by our Lionesses, with three goals, each from different players! The Freedom are not easy to beat, either, they managed to hold down De Vanna, Wambach and Bompastor! Great for them, this is why I have such high hopes for them next season! Great teamwork ladies, we love you!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.......Montoya is in over his head. THIS IS PROFESSIONAL SPORTS...............not Club, not the minor or B-League.....but the show! Pro Sports is all about results.....

I have some very good friends on the team..........AND I FEEL THEIR PAIN........everytime I see them we talk........I want them and the organization to succeed.........but it frustrates the hell out of those of us who see such madness coming from the coach..........he's the head of the team and should bare the brunt of the blame........

perfect montoya madness example..... only used two subs against LA. (WTF??)

As a season ticket holder I fell we have some right to Monday morning quarterbacking. It's harmless and it's what all sports fans do.
