I booked my flight! I'm going to Los Angeles to see the WPS premier game with Marta the Superstar! I'm pretty excited, to say the least!

Hi you guys in the USA a message to you CRS supporters< I am a big ARSENAL LADIES FC fan and am sad to see KAREN CARNEY go, but she has to furthyer her career. She is an exciting player,talented and a professional. I shall now be watching the CRS to see how she is settling in and of course to see how the team is progressing. I found this article on a reputable Swedish women's soccer blog. It's looking good that WPS (assuming Red Stars) will get Cristiane. WOW!!! I'm sooooooo excited. She's such a fun player to watch!

Linköping giving up on Cristiane

"She has been fairly clear about that she prefers to go to USA" said Linköping's sport director Anders Mäki about Linköping's chances to re-sign Brazilian forward Cristiane. He continues stating that the club hasn't closed any doors, but it seems unlikely that Cristiane would return to Linköping.

That, on the other hand, should increase their chances to keep this season's teen sensation Kosovare Asllani. Asllani, who made a brilliant national team debut last weekend, had to compete with Cristiane for a place as a starter and has said that she is looking for a club where something like that won't happen. Now it seems like Linköping, besides offering her a salary "more in tune with her market value", also might give her some assurance of being part of the starting eleven.

I've developed quite the reputation in the Red Stars circle as THE Marta fan, but I will say, if come April we're sportin Carli Lloyd and Cristiane, it really would be as close of a religious experience seeing this team in action as it would be seeing Marta! Ha! 2009 is really going to be a year of dreams coming true in my books, seeing this league just thrive and develop into the best in the world for women's soccer. Pinch me, quick! Ha! No, this is reality at it's best.

From what I read on Marta's official fan site, Cristiane just signed with Corinthians in Brazil. Not clear as to how Red Stars would be able to get her?!?! But oh my, if we could have gotten Cristiane, I would have been doing Brazilian style back flips around the block. If anyone has any clarification on this issue with Cristiane, let me know...
