when will you post or email or call the women who sent in an interested player form? how many spots will you hold open for those women?

Hey Laura,

Thanks for the post!

Here are some answers to your question:

The WPS has an International Draft so that we can bring the best players from all over the world to play in the best women's league around. The Atlanta Beat has selected several American players through the WPS Expansion Draft, and we will finalize our roster with the 2010 WPS Draft in Jan. In that general draft, we will select from college players, free agents, Americans currently playing overseas, and any other player who has registered with the league by completing an interested player form.

We agree with you that there are quite a few great Americans out there, and we hope to draft some of those talents in the 2010 WPS Draft.

Thanks so much for you post, keem em coming guys!

We love to hear your feedback!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T ANYBODY TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!
why are we selecting international players when we have good players right here in the us? there are girls who will be finishing college and wanting to play in the wps but all the spots will be taking. how fair is that???????? let the international players stay in their countries playing in their leagues and lets get more us girls into the wps. how about getting more teams for example each state should have a team.

i think atlanta did alright, i do agree that it looks as though philly got more value. if they leave buzz from sbfc back on D they got a pretty solid back 4 already. i also like that the majority of their players are in their mid 20's. i think cinalli will create alot of opportunities and keselica will surprise people with her play making ability for atlanta.

what does everyone think about the picks....kinda surprised a GK wasnt taken...but i guess the international draft and the WPS draft are times to select those players and trades are available as well...personally i liked philadelphia's picks better than the Beat's, but that isnt up to me
