2009 WPS Father's Day Tribute WINNERS!

WPS is proud to announce its 2009 Father's Day Tribute Winners

In June, we asked you to tell us why your dad deserved to win a World Class weekend with WPS. At the League office, we poured over the entries and had a panel of judges rank each essay based on creativity, organization and how compelling the story was. Our panel of judges included WPS Commissioner Tonya Antonucci, PUMA executive Andy Logan and NSCAA President Randy Waldrum.

The competition was close, but one essay stood out among the rest. Our grand prize winner, Hilary Gelfond from Maryland will be on her way to one of our historic post-season matches in August. Hilary and her dad will get to choose between attending the WPS Championship, held August 22 at the home stadium of the WPS Regular Season Table Winner OR, the WPS All-Star Game, held August 30 in St. Louis, MO.

Also, as first prize winners, the three additional fans below were selected to receive an autographed jersey from their favorite WPS Team:
