First week on the job, after 5 months.

It's official, I've been hired as the Marketing and New Media Manager for the Red Stars after 5 months of interning here... and I couldn't have asked for a better New Year's present!

I love whateverything about this place, and well I guess that's why I was hired (Although I guess driving to Toyota Park everyday somewhat impacts my wallet, and most importantly the environment, so that's the only downfall to working here).

My duties are pretty much the same - I am still managing the Social Media websites (at least until I get an intern, wow that will be weird), updating all our web pages, producing videos and images and posting them online, and most importantly heading up the Online Marketing initiatives by our marketing department!

It's definitely a step up for me, my first 'real' official job out of college. It's going to be a tough challenge, but after interning here I know my way around, work great with our awesome office staff, and have some really creative ideas on how we can interact with our fans and everyone that comes to our website on a daily basis.

That being said, if you have a company, website, or soccer related idea to be integrated with the Chicago Red Stars, send them my way and I'd be more than happy to try and work something out!
