The Brazilian selection technician of feminine soccer talked in an interview that in December there will be a championship in Brazil in which are going to take part China, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and perhaps the USA. Hopefully the feminine selection of the USA plays this championship, because it is going to be very good to watch Brazil and USA!!! It is going to be our Olimpiadas' Revenge!!!! :D
Moreover, the president of the Santos was in the FIFA in Zurique, to ask the creation of a World Championship of FIFA Feminine Soccer Clubs and your request was approved. The championship will be in the city of Santos in Brazil, in next year, March or April month.
Now, the six continental confederations linked to the FIFA (Concacaf - North America Soccer Confederation, Central and Caribbean; Conmebol- South american Confederation of Soccer; Soccer confederation of Oceania-OFC; Soccer-CAF Africa confederation; Asian confederation of Soccer- AFC; And European Confederation of Soccer- UEFA) has until January to indicate the teams that are going to dispute the tournament. The Santos FC is going to represent Conmebol as first America Cup Liberators champion.
I believe that the team who is going to play by the North America will be Sky Blue, because the team was the champion of WPS.... What is going to be very good!!! Marta and Cristiane should play by the Santos. :D

Comment by chevy on November 1, 2009 at 9:03pm: While I like both ideas, I think the 2nd is very poorly planned at this time. With the exception of UEFA and Commebol does another federation even have a legitamate tournament to crown a qualified club team at this time? Also the timing is kind of sketchy as the majority of the best teams are short players who play for their national teams in the Algarve and Cypress Cup at the same time this tournament would be occurring. Meaning that the club teams that would play Santos in this tournament would most likely be missing some of their impact players. Also the European club could be playing in either the quarter or semi finals of the Champions league at the time of this tournament. Good concept if more infrastructure was in place for each federation, but seems poorly planned at this time.

If it does happen, they should definitely televise it, although any sports channel barely televises Women's National Team games, let alone Women soccer club games, besides FSC in the summer on Sundays.
