Kobe Bryant introduces Marta!

The Los Angeles SOL press conference just concluded at the Home Depot Center (SOL Home Stadium). It was a sure treat as the Los Angeles Laker's Kobe Bryant took the podium to introduce his soccer idol, Marta. He explained that he is a huge soccer fan and went to Beijing to do 3 things: Win the Gold Medal, watch Michael Phelps make history and watch Marta play. He was very charismatic and supportive of the women's game.

Marta then came up and shared her excitement for the league, team and Los Angeles, although the team training has been tough! She then answered questions, followed by a team photo op with Kobe.

Then, Kobe and the Los Angeles SOL walked out to the "Pitch" onto the Home Depot Center Field. Where the team shared a soccer ball with Kobe, a little different than his familiar basketball. Then the team took PK's on Kobe and slid them right by him into the net. Marta took a PK which hit the post, lucky Kobe.
