How did your dad influence your pursuit of soccer?
My dad was a collegiate basketball player and so I am pretty sure he handed some athletic genes my way. Both him and my mom always says "we're so proud of you, and if you ever want don't want to play, don't feel pressure to play from us." Pretty cool.

How has your dad helped shape the person you are today both on and off the
field?

My dad used to say "if you are not getting a yellow card a game, then you are not playing hard enough." (he really never said that, but I tell people he did). He did say "Knock some bodies down," before every game. For anyone that knows the type of player I am - that has definitely affected my game.

How has your dad motivated you to become an elite player?
Just a lot of love and support. He never pushed me, but always told me he was proud of me. Both of my parents let me make my own decisions with college and my career. They were great.

What is one quality you admire about your dad?
I really admire my dad's humor. He is hilarious. When we were growing up he would get on the phone and fake call Dr. Tickle or Dr. Joy and then he would go into the Garage and put on something and re-enter the house as a that character.

Quick Soccer story about my Dad:
One time my dad got kicked out of a game by a referee. He went out to his car, put on a hat and a change of shirt and came back to the game. That story always cracks me up. He also yells things like "booom shaka laka" and he calls me Frankie on the field.

How did your dad influence your pursuit of soccer?
My dad, Jeff, really encouraged me to have fun in all the sports I participated in as a kid. He always urged me to be the best I could be as well, which is a major component of why I have set high goals for myself since I was a kid. My family's two-hand touch football games and attempts of small-sided soccer games in our backyard definitely played a role in my pursuit of soccer as well:).

What is one quality you admire about your dad?
I admire my dad's perserverence. When he sets his mind to a particular thing, he often achieves his goal.

How did your dad influence your pursuit of soccer?
My dad has always been a big part of my life. When I was little he and my mom threw me in every kind of sport I could imagine. I loved soccer the most so I stuck to it. He always wanted me to pursue things that made me happy.

How has your dad helped shape the person you are today both on and off the
field?

My dad has played a big role in the person I am today. He taught me to stick to what I believe, never give up and always dream big. As a player and a person you go through good and bad times and my dad has always been there with me to celebrate during the good and pick me up during the bad.

How has your dad motivated you to become an elite player?
My dad always pushed me to play as much soccer as I possibly can. I played on all different teams went from practice to practice and participated in a lot of soccer camps. Being put in a competitive environment everyday has helped me to become an elite player.

What is one quality you admire about your dad?
My dad has the biggest heart. No matter what he is doing he always makes sure that he is doing it out of love. It doesn't matter if he is happy as long as the people around him are. My dad looks at the big picture and doesn't let all the little things bother him. He is an amazing person and I could have not been more blessed to have him as my dad.
