Hey guys,
My name is Grace Weitz and I just became an intern with Women's Professional Soccer. Just a little bit about me. I'm going to be a junior at Northwestern University come fall and I also play for the women's varsity soccer team there, so I'm quite excited to be interning at a place that focuses solely on soccer, a passion and staple of my life since I was five years old. I'm a Minnesotan originally and have a lot of Minnesota pride--snow, lakes Vikings and all, I love it. And, yes I do say "pop", which I've heard might be a problem out here in San Francisco. Anyways, I've only been here in San Fran for three days, but I've already gotten thrown into the thick of things--I'm editing content, working on a couple stories, and talking with some players from the Athletica and the Sol including Kia McNeill and Kendall Fletcher (Athletica) and Keri Sanchez (Sol) as well as head coach of the Athletica Jorge Barcellos. I will also be keeping up my own weekly blog (make sure to check out my blog from this week
Who Knew the Funny Bone Could be so Dangerous). Hopefully, I will be attending some FC Gold Pride games when they come back into town, espcially their July 5th game against the Saint Louis Athletica, which will commemorate the 1999 U.S women's World Cup team. That's it for now, but stay tuned!
